A three-dimensional garden window adds openness to any room. The added glass from the window also allows more light into the room, increasing the brightness. The extra space creates a display area that can be accessorized. Small flower and herb gardens are examples of how people choose to decorate their garden windows. Garden windows are not as big as bay windows as they only cover the glass area, whereas a bay window creates enough space for a kitchen table or bench. Garden windows can be installed in any room in the house, but are most often found in kitchen areas.

    Kitchen Garden Window Prices

Kitchen garden windows add light and depth to the area. They are also convenient places to keep herb plants, allowing the chef in the home access to fresh herbs to add flavor to their home culinary creations. They allow for a clearer view of the outside than a double hung window, and allow room for the addition of shelf space. Because of their size, garden windows are not kept in stock and have to be made to order. Kitchen garden windows typically cost from $500 to $900. They arrive as a single unit, and are mounted on the outside of the house. Larger windows for other rooms in the house can cost $1000 or more.

Garden Window Cost According To Material

Garden windows are available in vinyl and aluminum. Wood frames are also available. The aluminum garden windows and wood garden windows are more expensive than the vinyl variety. Garden windows framed in aluminum or wood can cost anywhere from $1000 to $4000. Garden windows regularly come with standard glass. Tempered glass windows are more expensive. Side windows are another option that can add to the cost of a garden window. Side screened windows are essential if you want to use your window to grow plants.  The screens allow for the flow of air that can prevent plants from withering in the summer heat.
